List Of Top Nollywood Actors Who Died In 2019

Death is inevitable -- a journey marks the end of life on earth yet no one can propose when they will exit or will be no more.

For, 2020 we all know that it hasn't been that favourable, even though we are just 4 months into it, we have already lost quite a number of Nollywood actors aside from the fact that the world has lost thousands of people to COVID-19.

Today, we're having a retrospection and once again to bring into memory these celebrities who once entertainment but have unfortunately passed on.

Henry Okoro

Nollywood Actor and Producer, Henry Okoro died on May 11th 2019. The actor perished in a ghastly accident when he was returning from an outing with his friends. He was 36 years old.

Prince Dammy Eke

Nollywood actor, Prince Dammy Eke died on April 28th, 2019 after he mysteriously slumped at a bar at Rivers State. The actor was famous for his role in promoting Nigerian eastern cultures. He was 41.

Ifeanyichukwu Onyeabor

Nollywood Director Ifeanyi died on April 19th whilst set. The actor was filming in Jos, Plateau State when the sad incident happened. He is remembered for movies such as My Mother’s Heart,’ ‘5 Apostles,’ ‘Darkest Knight etc.

Paul Emema

Filmmaker, Producer and scriptwriter, Paul Emema died as 52 after a short illness. the veteran actor died on March 12. The actor popular for his work including, 'Behind the Clouds', Supple Blues' and of course his movie titled, 'Reverend Father Tansi'

Abe Ishora Monsurat Olabisi

Actress Olabisi Monsurat Abe Ishola aka Bisket died 10 days after childbirth. She died on 30th May 2019. It was established whether Bisket died due to complications from childbirth or any other illness.

Gbenga Akintunde

Gbenga Akintunde is the first Nollywood actor to die in 2019. His death came as early as January 3rd 2019. According to reports, he died following a short illness. Gbenga was 47.

Funmilayo Ogunsola

Yoruba actress Fumilayo Ogunsola aka Mama Ijewuru reportedly died of cardiac arrest. She died in Ibadan on February 6th 2019.

Oliver Duke

Actor and comedian, Duke Oliver died on April 2nd. The actor was returning to Lagos from his mother's burial when he got involved in an accident.
